Lo stilista di oggi è . . ."YVES SAINT LAURENT " !

Yves Henri Donat Mathieu Saint Laurent (Orano, 1º agosto 1936 – Parigi, 1º giugno 2008) stilista francese.

Yves Henri Donat Mathieu Saint Laurent (Oran, August 1, 1936 - Paris, 1 June 2008) French fashion designer.
Born in Algeria, where he had established earlier, because of the Franco-Prussian War, the family, and wealthy native of Alsace-Lorraine, Yves Saint Laurent began working for Christian Dior at the age of 17 years. Following the death of Dior in 1957, Saint Laurent was called to succedergli.Nel 1962 he left Dior and Yves Saint Laurent founded the label with his partner and companion Pierre Bergé
In the sixties and seventies the signing enjoyed the greatest prestige, thanks to ingenious innovations in fashion. In 1980 he was the first living fashion designer to enjoy a major retrospective of his work at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. In 1999 the Florentine fashion house Gucci bought the label, while Tom Ford took care of prêt-à-porter (more accessible to the general public), Yves Saint-Laurent drew the line of high fashion.
The fashion house was officially closed in 2002 [. Although the house no longer exists, the brand still survives under the aegis of Gucci. Today, after the withdrawal of Tom Ford, Stefano Pilati, the designer has to sign the line of ready-to-porter.Alla like Chanel, Saint Laurent has created a unique style, was for decades a symbol of the most refined, modern and innovative. First, in 60 years, has realized that the high fashion could draw inspiration from the street and not just be self-referential reality, a world closed in on itself without any relationship with reality. Collection of 1958 created a sensation with which he began, when the successor to Christian Dior, presented a spirited and irreverent silhuette, very little politically correct conformism tailoring of the time.
He already sensed the spirit of this new unorthodox artist, who, throughout his career has kept the promise of that time, becoming an innovator constant, a modernizer of the female image. He did everything or almost everything before the others. His decades ago by Giorgio Armani, was the insight to move some of the leaders in the female the male wardrobe: the blazer, the Sahara, the tuxedo, the trench coat, the leather jacket, the pants suit, her the explosive chargevitality combined with an all-consuming passion for the art that made him do homage to the masters of the fanciful paintings of the twentieth century, from Picasso to Andy Warhol, Matisse, Mondrian, when the art-fashion was not yet a foregone found a place common walkway "cultured". Sue, again for the first, were the ethnic and folk mingling with which it has enriched many of their collections of suggestions that came from time to time from Africa, Spain, India, homeboy, from Russia.L ' love of theater and literature, Marcel Proust on his head, as the author of a fetish, as a tutelary deity, have also been transposed in its fashion, poured into the models that have created. But beyond a multi-faceted creativity, Saint Laurent also had brilliant insights into business, as you know, once again ahead of his colleagues, so that the ideas of its modern high fashion could, wisely corrected, transformed into an industrial product.
After a long illness, a brain tumor, the designer goes off in Paris, at his home on the night of 1 June 2008, at the age of 72 years. The designer was cremated. His ashes are kept in the Majorelle Garden in Marrakech in Morocco, the villa belonged to the famous French artist, and later purchased and restored by Yves.
Together with his life partner Pierre Berge, Yves Saint Laurent picked up a collection of about 730 works of art, including paintings by Picasso, Matisse, Mondrian, Leger, Goya, sculptures, archaeological finds, furniture and decorative objects. On the death of the designer, Bergé decided to auction the collection, auction which took place in 2009.
